A Transformative Leap into Love

My daddy always told me boy you don’t fall
Life is gonna hurt but you gotta stay strong
My momma told me love is something to look for
Life will get better when you give up and fall

Tears fall down, my life tears down
Mind’s fed up and I hit the ground
You Lift me up when I am drowned
I see you and my heart spins around

Again
I fell
This fall I never regret
I felt
This time both alive and dead

Writer’s Reflection

This poem reflects how I felt as I fell in love with her. At the lowest point in my life, she came in and lifted me up. I wanted to symbolize The idea of ‘falling’ as opening up emotionally — it’s not about weakness, but about a transformative leap into love. If anyone connects with these lyrics and wants to turn them into a song, I’d be happy to help and write the full version.
