The Imaginary Refuge
My Beautiful Companion
My world is so small
Everything is safe in it
I am hiding in shadows
And talking to she
Is an imaginary friend
or fictive love of I
have my heart locked
her inside my lost haven
God I’m lucky to have
Her hands are so shiny
It’s getting eaten by
My darkest secrets so
I keep all the pain
To myself I told I hate
My life is not so
Beautiful but she is..!
Writer’s Reflection
This poem is close to my heart, as I wrote it when I was overwhelmed by weighing emotions and haunting loneliness. I needed a companion to lean on, to feel safe without the complexities of life and connections. This poem is about an internal conflict — between my negative feelings and the beauty, solace I find in my imaginary companion.
